Four Galleries, Restaurant, Store and Trails

The View is Just the Beginning...

I came as a child fifty years ago and returned because of wonderful memories. My expectations exceeded and I’ve been able to introduce my children and grandchildren to a place I loved as a child. Thank you!

Who We Are

Fruitlands Museum is one of the first outdoor museums in America. This national landmark shares the unique ideas, stories, objects and landscape of New England’s most original thinkers, movers and reformers. Step into the past on over 200 acres of pastoral landscape, trails and four unique galleries of Transcendental, Native American, Shaker and American art collections.

Embrace the future with changing exhibits, educational and creative workshops & lectures, as well as fun family events and outdoor concerts. Mull it all over at our charming Tea Room restaurant and Museum store. Fruitlands offers something for everyone!

Join us in Spring of 2008 as we launch our Branching Out year, featuring visual, written and spoken art with Wood at its heart. Don’t miss sculptor Joe Wheelwright, as he brings his fantastical Tree Figures to our landscape in June 2008.
