Fruitlands' Artist in Residence of 2007, Susan Richmond, will be working on site. Visitors are invited to talk with her about creating poetry for Fruitlands and the use of poetry in interpretation. Check at the Wayside for Ms. Richmond's location that day. The Artist in Residence will be on site and available for conversation and questions the first Friday of the month thru October. Free with museum admission.

A Walk Thru White Mountain Art

Join Mr. Robbins on a walk thru the Canvassing the White Mountains exhibit in the Picture Gallery. Journey into the White Mountains to places such as Mt. Kearsarge, Tamworth, Crawford Notch, Moat Mountain and Mt. Washington. Some of the stories and people you may hear about could include; the Willy Family, Artist's Brook, the father or White Mountain painting and why several artists kept losing their jobs. These tours will be the third Saturday of the month thru October. FREE with museum admission. Good for all ages.

Museum of Russian Icons' Assistant Curator Jesse Rives will describe the history of the new Museum of Russian Icons at the Wayside at Fruitlands Museums. Mr. Rives will describe, in an informal talk, the development from idea to reality of this state of the art museum in Clinton MA, founded by Gordon Lankton. Members of the Museum of Russian Icons can get into Fruitlands for FREE during the Month of October by showing their membership card, and members of Fruitlands will be reciprocated by one FREE admission to the Museum of Russian Icons all through the month of October. This is the time to join both or either museum! Free admission coupons and gifts from the Museum of Russian Icons will be distributed during this program.
