For the Birds: Art from the Mass Audubon Collection
April 15 through November 15
Fruitlands is proud to present the exhibition For the Birds: Art from the Mass Audubon collection, opening the 2010 season and featuring remarkable and rarely exhibited art.
The exhibition includes selected works spanning more than two centuries by internationally renowned artists from John James Audubon elephant folio prints to Andy Warhol's Bald Eagle serigraph, all with an intriguingly diverse approach to their subject--birds. We are pleased to collaborate with the Mass Audubon Visual Arts Center in bringing their collection to a broader audience at Fruitlands. This extraordinary art collection was assembled over the 114-year history of Mass Audubon, New England’s largest conservation organization. For the Birds has something for everyone—casual visitors, art enthusiasts, backyard birdwatchers, adults and/or children. Check our events calendar for bird-inspired programming throughout the year.
